Member Referral Program

 

For every family member or friend you refer to the credit union that joins, we will give each of you $50. Members can earn up to $250.*

 
 
 

How It Works

When your family members and friends join the credit union, use your name as a referral*, and they open a checking account with a debit card, and direct deposit ($100 or more), we will deposit $50 into your account and $50 into their account.

 

Who Can Join

Anyone in your family (by blood or marriage) or be a permanent household member with the same address as the referring member, or is a current or retired employee of the USPS of Maryland.

How to Submit the Referral

Download the referral form and give it to your family member or friend to complete. Have them bring it with them to the branch when they open their account. Or include the referral form with their membership application form submission if they choose to fax, email, or mail their membership application to the credit union.

If they are applying for membership online, they still need to submit a completed Referral Form to the credit union for both of you to qualify for the $50 bonus. They can email it to marketing@pocumd.org, fax it to 410- 727-0929 or mail it to P.O. Box 22911, Baltimore, MD 21203.

The Referral Form is required for the credit union to deposit the $50 bonus into the new and referring member’s account.

* Rules/Eligibility

  • Offer valid from 4/1/25 - 5/31/25. May be subject to change at any time without notice.

  • New members must be related by blood or marriage, or be a permanent household member with the same address as the referring member, or is a current or retired employee of the USPS of Maryland.

  • A new membership account must be opened ($10.25) with a checking account ($50 min.) and debit card, and a $100 direct deposit (for a minimum of 120 days).

  • New members must provide a Referral Form or referring member’s name, phone number, and email address when the account is opened.

  • $50 for referring member and $50 for new member will be deposited into member’s POCUMD accounts after the account has been established for 120 days and all requirements have been met.

  • Previous POCUMD members do not qualify for the $50 new member bonus, but the referring member will receive $50 if the referred member reopens an account according to the terms of the promotion.

  • Referring members must have had a POCUMD account for at least six months before 4/1/25 to receive a $50 bonus.

  • Bonus capped at $250 per referring member.
